Adds a new `/lighthouse` API call to the VC which allows the list of beacon nodes to be updated dynamically at runtime. An entirely new beacon node list is provided to the VC so it effectively adds, removes or reorders nodes to match the new list. This can then be used in Siren, which will enable a "drag to reorder" system along with adding and removing beacon nodes while the VC is on. This will make it unnecessary to reboot the VC when users want to simply add or remove a BN from the list.
Lighthouse: Ethereum consensus client
An open-source Ethereum consensus client, written in Rust and maintained by Sigma Prime.
Overview
Lighthouse is:
- Ready for use on Ethereum consensus mainnet.
- Fully open-source, licensed under Apache 2.0.
- Security-focused. Fuzzing techniques have been continuously applied and several external security reviews have been performed.
- Built in Rust, a modern language providing unique safety guarantees and excellent performance (comparable to C++).
- Funded by various organisations, including Sigma Prime, the Ethereum Foundation, Consensys, the Decentralization Foundation and private individuals.
- Actively involved in the specification and security analysis of the Ethereum proof-of-stake consensus specification.
